Why Bamboo
Why Bamboo?
Soft. Strong. Sustainable.
When we decided to fix everyday basics, we knew the fabric mattered as much as the design. We chose bamboo for one simple reason: it is simply better, for you and for the planet.
Feels better on your skin
Bamboo fibres are naturally smoother and rounder than cotton. No harsh spurs or rough texture, just a naturally soft feel that stays gentle on your skin, wash after wash. Many people with sensitive skin prefer bamboo as it’s less likely to cause irritation.
Breathable and fresh
Bamboo fabric is highly breathable and moisture-wicking. It pulls sweat away from your skin and dries quickly, which means you stay fresher for longer. It’s also naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant so your boxers, socks and tees stay cleaner between washes.
Fact: Studies have shown bamboo fabric can reduce bacterial growth by up to 70% compared to cotton, helping keep you comfortable all day.
Better for the planet
Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants in the world. It can grow up to a metre a day, needs no fertilisers or pesticides, and uses far less water than cotton. It self-regenerates from its own roots so there’s no need to replant.
Fact: Bamboo requires about 30% less water than cotton and absorbs five times more carbon dioxide while releasing 35% more oxygen into the air.
Long-lasting and durable
Despite being soft, bamboo fabric is surprisingly strong. It holds its shape, keeps its colour and resists pilling so your essentials stay looking and feeling good for longer.
Naturally kind
We keep our bamboo processing simple and responsible. We use closed-loop systems to reduce waste and recycle water during production.
Soft. Simple. Smart.
We chose bamboo because it works for everyday life, just soft, comfortable, breathable, durable and kinder to the world around us.
That is why our basics feel better, last longer and make sense for your everyday life.
